Reported that PM Tarique Rahman signed 13 memorandums of understanding with Premier Li Qiang and held a separate bilateral with President Xi Jinping, with the J-10CE fighter acquisition described as the centrepiece. The Daily Star noted that Bangladesh's previous government under Sheikh Hasina had avoided this type of high-profile defence deal with China to placate India and the United States.
